(CTN News) – Thailand’s commercial authorities have collaborated with China’s e-commerce behemoth Alibaba to assist small enterprises in reaching more clients. The e-commerce platform is offering a new service package to Thai retailers, which should help them contact more customers and engage with them more effectively.

The Department of International Trade Promotion has partnered with China’s worldwide e-commerce giant Alibaba to promote small and medium-sized Thai enterprises on the platform.

The company has created a new package in Thailand called worldwide Gold Supplier-Lite, which should make it easier for merchants to reach worldwide clients.

How Alibaba’s Partnership with Thailand Will Benefit Local Small Businesses

Mr Vutthisak Kanchanaporn, Director General of the Office of Digital Commerce industry, stated that Thailand’s e-commerce industry value is likely to exceed 7 trillion baht this year, representing a 23% increase.

Mr Warren Wang, Head of Alibaba’s Thailand Business, explained that the newly released package uses artificial intelligence to improve platform performance, collect data, and analyse customers and market trends, allowing businesses to better their products and alter their marketing approach.

The software also includes an automatic chat feature and an easy-to-use interface for newcomers. The package includes a supplier rating system, specific programs and awards to connect with qualified buyers, and multilingual support in 16 languages, including automated translations.

Alibaba.com presently has over 48 million buyers from 190 countries on its platform, with clients from the United States, Pakistan, and the Middle East exhibiting the greatest interest in Thai products.

Popular Thai products include food and beverages, agricultural products, beauty products, clothing and fashion accessories, and home and garden things.
