The most recent interpretation of the famous Marvel team, which first appeared in comic books in 1961, is being directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), and it is scheduled to be released in theatres on July 25, 2025.
Pedro Pascal, who played Mr. Fantastic Four, Vanessa Kirby, who played the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn, who played the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who played The Thing, are the actors who feature in the film.
Immediately after Disney completed its purchase of Fox, the crew became eligible to become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Earlier this week, Pascal posted the first cast picture of the upcoming Fantastic Four film, which included the actors, along with the statement, “Our first mission.”
Additionally scheduled to make an appearance are John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser. Among the individuals who are credited with authoring the script are Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer.
Additionally, Peter Cameron, who works for WandaVision, has contributed to the screenplay. After an unrealized film developed by Roger Corman in the 1990s, the Fantastic Four made their debut on the big screen with the film directed by Tim Story in 2005.
The film featured Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd, and Michael Chiklis in the roles of the eponymous foursome. The movie did not please reviewers, and it has a 28 percent acceptance rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This is even though the film’s success at the box office led to the production of a sequel in 2007.
Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell were among the actors that were in the reimagined version of the squad that Josh Trank created for his film in 2015.
Although it was not as popular as the picture that was released in 2005, this one did not do as well at the box office and only received a 9 percent rating from critics on the Rotten Tomatoes website.
