(CTN News) – Thailand is starting several travel campaigns before, during, and after the Games in an attempt to win big. In an attempt to attract French visitors, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has increased its efforts before, during, and after the Olympics, which began in Paris on Friday.
Since May, TAT, and Carrefour Voyages have collaborated to provide deals via 115 travel agencies in France. With 2,000 packages to be sold by August, the goal of this programme is to increase Thai tourism via both physical and online channels.

Additionally, TAT will work with Voyage Privé, Oovatu, Singapore Airlines, and the Singapore Tourism Board to continue its marketing campaign in the second half of the year. This year, the goal is to bring in at least 42.9 billion baht in revenue and 632,000 French visitors.
The deputy governor of TAT for Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa, Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, observed that the long-haul market is growing at a promising rate.
According to TAT, market size and revenue will both exceed pre-pandemic levels. It is anticipated that French visitors will be strongly attracted to Thailand by the Paris 2024 Olympics, both before and after the games.
TAT and Carrefour Voyages have partnered to provide unique holiday packages via 115 travel agencies. For a 17-day, 14-night vacation that includes international airfare and overnight accommodations, packages start at 1,469 euros.
Other possible packages cost 1,849 euros for both an excursion to the North and Phuket, or 1,799 euros for journeys that included a stay in the North of Thailand. The discounts have been promoted by TAT and Carrefour Voyages using promotional materials and a one-minute video clip.
Additionally, Carrefour Voyages has opened a 24-hour contact center where customers can get information about Thailand. In the future, TAT plans to provide more collaborative campaigns, specifically:
Voyage Privé (July 30-September 9): This vacation offers packages that include sports tourism activities including diving in Koh Samui, hiking in Khao Yai, Muay Thai classes in Pattaya, and the Flight of the Gibbon zipline tour in Chiang Mai.
Oovatu (starting on September 2): Green Season packages with an emphasis on upscale dining in opulent hotels that cost around 3,565 euros per person. 1,274 packages have already been sold as a result of this campaign, bringing in around 4.3 million euros, or 168.8 million baht.
420,446 French tourists visited Thailand between January 1 and July 25, of whom 44% were return visitors and 56% were first-time travelers. Each time, they spent around 66,796 baht and spent about eighteen nights in Thailand. Destinations including Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Krabi, and Surat Thani were well-liked.
